The MSCSICPFC/REF5 is a three-phase Vienna PFC reference design for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV)/electric vehicle (EV) charger and high power switch mode power supply applications. This reference design achieves 98.5 % efficiency at 20 kW output power and is capable of operation to 30 kW.
Key features of this three-phase Vienna rectifier reference design:
- Initial operation at 20 kW and designed for 30 kW applications
- Microsemi’s next generation SiC diodes and SiC MOSFETs with high avalanche/repetitive unclamped inductive switching (UIS)
- Three-phase, 380/400 V RMS, 50Hz or 60 Hz input voltage
- 140 kHz switching frequency
- 780 V DC output voltage
- PCB layout with consideration for safety, current stress, mechanical stress, and noise immunity
- Open source software for digital control
- Maximum ambient temperature at 60 °C
