A multifunction packaged monolithic 5.9-9.0GHz receiver which integrates a balanced cold FET mixer, a LO buffer and a RF LNA including a gain control. The high conversion gain, the high input linearity combined with the gain control and the low noise figure make of this circuit a very versatile full receiver for high performance systems. Moreover it is proposed in standard surface mount package and integrates ESD protection. The overall power supply is of 4V/385mA. The circuit is dedicated to telecommunication and also well suited for a wide range of microwave applications and systems. It is developed on a robust 0.25µm gate length pHEMT process, and will be available both as a bare die, and in a standard surface mount 24 leads QFN4x5, compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) European Union directive 2002/95/EC.
