Thick Film Resistor
Our Thick Film Resistor offering can range from precision surface-mount components to medium power (12.5W) axial leaded resistors, and large, 600W - 1000W heat-sinkable planar power resistors. Applications for Thick Film Resistors include power supplies, snubber circuits, inverters (resistor banks), voltage regulation, low-energy pulse loading, frequency conversion circuits, and as a “bleeder resistor.” Thick Film Resistors can have either a small or a large Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR). They are also available in many tolerances and power levels. Richardson RFPD provides design support to help engineers select the best Thick Film Resistor for the specific application. Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right Thick Film Resistor for your application include: Package Type – usually Axial, Planar-Heat Sinkable, or SMD; Maximum Voltage Rating (V); Power Rating (W); Resistance (Ω); Tolerance (%); Operating Temperature Range (⁰C); Temperature Coefficient (ppm/⁰C); and the part’s Dimensions (mm).
