Attenuator - Fixed Coaxial
A Fixed Coaxial Attenuator is a 2-port coaxial RF interconnect device that attenuates the RF signal passing through it by a prescribed amount (e.g., 1dB, 2dB, 3dB). Sometimes used in the field in larger communications systems, these devices are mostly found in Test and Measurement applications—including both laboratory and factory testing environments. Most of these attenuator devices have 50 ohms of nominal impedance, but others are available for cable TV applications with 75 ohms impedance. Also included in this product line are “impedance matching pads,” which convert between 50 and 75 ohms while providing a set amount of RF attenuation. Richardson RFPD carries a large assortment of Fixed Coaxial Attenuators. These products, taken as a group, cover the complete frequency range from 0 MHz (DC) to 50 GHz and provide from 0 to 60 dB of precision RF signal attenuation. Some models can handle up to 300 Watts of RF signal power. Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right Fixed Coaxial Attenuator for your application include the Connector Type (SMA, BNC, etc.), the amount of Attenuation provided (in dB), and the Maximum Frequency (GHz) of operation for the device. Richardson RFPD offers an extensive selection of Fixed Coaxial Attenuators from industry-leading manufacturers.
