RF Coaxial Panel Mount Connector
RF Coaxial Panel Mount Connectors are connected mechanically to a housing, panel, or enclosure and protrude through its outer surface. By providing a strong and secure external mounting location, RF Coaxial Panel Mount Connectors prevent mechanical damage (both axial and radial) to printed circuit boards and micro-strip boards, as well as to other vital and sensitive internal components (e.g., contacts, cable connections). Additional capabilities often include circuit grounding and helping to seal the system (i.e., hermetic sealing). Some panel connectors include an EMI ring for RF shielding purposes. RF Coaxial Panel Mount Connectors are employed on any RF subsystem contained within a housing/enclosure or behind a panel and needing to connect RF signals between the inside of the enclosure and the outside world. These durable connectors are used in radar systems, satellite systems, enclosed amplifiers, cellular base stations, TV receivers, and especially for connecting to RF/Microwave test equipment. Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right RF Coaxial Panel Mount Connector for your application include: Series (e.g., SMA, BNC); Gender (male or female); Style (e.g., straight bulkhead, right-angle bulkhead, front or rear mount, flange mount, thread-in, hermetic, field replaceable, transmission line, and surface launched); Termination (e.g., tab, pin, and solder cup); and, only in the case of a QPL-listed connector (i.e. the part meets MIL-SPEC), we list the QPL Part Number as the final key attribute.
