The PRM2142X is a complete 802.11ad adapter with advanced features for long range, outdoor applications. It utilizes the Peraso X720 802.11ad 60GHz phased array chipset which includes a baseband processor and a high-power mmWave beamformer transceiver RFIC. The PRM2142X is a member of Peraso’s PERSPECTUS 60 product line and is compatible with the PRM2141X and PRM2143X.
The PRM2142X incorporates
- 32-element phased array antenna providing high gain while maintaining wide azimuth scanning range
- Antenna is integrated into the PCB
- Provides uniform performance over the entire band from 57 to 71 GHz.
The Baseband processor is the PRS4601-B2E which provides

The PRS1165 RFIC provides
- 16 RF chains with high transmit power levels

The 60GHz band is allocated for unlicensed operation in most countries around the world enabling private and Wireless Internet Service Provider networks without purchasing spectrum.
Point-to-point, Fixed Wireless, and Point-to-Multipoint, Fixed Wireless Access radio equipment can be rapidly developed using 60GHz modules which fully integrate the RFIC, baseband processor and beamforming antennas. Baseband operating conforms to the IEEE 802.11ad protocols and utilizes channel bandwidths of 2GHz to provide multi-gigabit data throughput.
