EMI Low Pass Filter
The main job of an EMI Low Pass Filter is to protect against “RF leakage,” as the desired signal passes into or out of an enclosed system. EMI Low Pass Filters are used in many circuit-level and system-level RF applications, such as Test & Measurement (lab or factory), amplifiers, transmitters and receivers. Discrete EMI Filters can be incorporated into connectors for filter arrays as an integrated solution. Richardson RFPD carries a full line of EMI Low Pass Filters which offer effective filtering through 18 GHz. These capacitive-based filters are available in surface mount or feed-thru mounting styles and several circuit configurations, including C, L, Pi, T and Double-T filters. Performance grades are available from low-cost commercial to rugged military. Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right EMI Low Pass Filters for your application include the attributes “Type” (C, Double-T, Feed Thru, Filter Plate, Hermetically-Sealed, L, LC, Pi, Resin-Sealed) and “Package Type” (Bolt-In, Solder-In, Surface Mount, Panel-Mount, Press-In, Threaded Case, Terminal Block, and Snap-In).
